Today it’s Grace to Share
John 10: 16
Samaria besieged
Four lepers
2 Kings 7: 9
Great lessons from this story
1. RISK
The lepers take a risk
“What’s the worst thing that can happen to us if we go for it? Answer: We could die!” What about you and I? Jesus told us to go and make disciples to show our faith.
Matthew 28: 18-20
Risky!
But what’s the worst thing that could happen to you in this country? Not death.Someone may say “I’m not interested.” But people, really, how awful is that?
Parable of the Sower
“Don’t give up! Keep sowing the seed! Keep sharing the Gospel!” Christians are called to be Risk-takers. Are You?
2. JOY
The lepers had a ball when they found the camp deserted. The best ambassadors for Christ are those who have learned to drink in the abundance of God’s grace so that what overflows from them is the desire to tell others about Jesus.
“Life without celebrating is a long road without inns”
Democritos
3. SHARING
The lepers realise they need to share with those who are starving. Jesus is our greatest example. He left all the treasure of Heaven to come among us and say “I want you to share it!” That’s why Jesus’ final word before returning to Heaven was Go! Go into your schools, colleges, neighbourhoods, workplaces, pubs, clubs and restaurants.
Take a risk! Let go of fear! Sow some seed! Press into God’s grace daily so that you have Grace to share.
